Lake Blackshear Resort & Golf Club, located in Cordele, Georgia, features a championship golf course and access to Georgia Veterans State Park and the SAM Shortline Excursion Train. The resort offers dining options including Cordelia's Restaurant, Cypress Grill at the Lake Blackshear Marina, and 88's Lakeside Bar. The Conference Center accommodates up to 450 people, equipped with high-speed internet, A/V, and business services. Guests can enjoy a scenic train ride on the SAM Shortline Excursion Train, which passes through Georgia Veterans Memorial Park and over Lake Blackshear. Activities include boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, golf, birding, and bicycling within the park. The marina offers a fully stocked store with a gas pump. Lake Blackshear is stocked with bass, bream, crappie, and catfish. Other attractions include the 3-D archery range with 15 targets and the Rural Telephone Museum in Leslie.
